Anne Lawlor

Chief Executive Officer

As the CEO and founder of Journey Protector, Anne has been leading the development and deployment of an innovative and autonomous system that uses IoT, AI, and blockchain technology to address cross-border security and efficiency issues, cargo theft, human trafficking, and illegal stowaways. With over 6 years of experience in this field, Anne has secured multiple awards, recognitions, and partnerships for her company, which is part of the Enterprise Ireland High Potential Start-Up (HPSU) program and the Microsoft for Startups Partnership Program.

Fran Lawlor

Chief Automotive Officer

Fran is a Coachbuilder and automotive electrical engineer.  He is co-founder of Lawlors’ Automotive Solutions which he has run with Anne Lawlor since 2014. He has over 30 years of experience and expertise in automotive electronics and specialises in developing bespoke solutions to automotive problems which cannot be solved by off the shelf products.

As a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics & Transport Ireland, and the Chief Business Officer at Journey Protector, David brings over a decade of expertise in logistics, sales, and enhancing customer experiences to the forefront of the industry. His career is rooted in the belief that innovation, strategic collaboration, and the removal of silos are key to solving complex challenges and achieving sustainable growth. David's approach is holistic: he blends rigorous analysis, creative thinking, and a commitment to excellence to drive the mission forward.

Stephen Urwin-Wright

Chief Technical Officer

Stephen is accomplished in his field, with credentials in Neural Networks working in industry and Southampton University. 

He has worked in embedded technology for over 20 years, integrating ARM processors to the IoT. He has worked on projects including 3G Oyster card, remote surgical robot, controllers for medical beds and for various UK defence projects, amongst others.  He has experience of the complete life cycle, including design, specification capture, patent drafting and CE testing. He has been involved in the writing and granting of several GB and USA patents.

Lorna Urwin-Wright

Lorna's background is as a Technical Program Manager, mainly working within Infrastructure and Geospatial technologies, with a high track record in delivering high-profile, complex programmes and projects throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. She has a relentless focus on the customer, whether they are internal or external, and she drives innovation through the use of data.

Captain Ronald Carthy (Rtd.)

Director of Marine & Shipping

Captain Ronald Carthy brings to the helm over 50 years of maritime experience. As a retired ship's captain, his profound knowledge and leadership have navigated through the most challenging seas. Through this experience, he has garnered relationships with ports in Ireland and abroad - including his time spent working as the Captain of a tug in Dublin port for 20 years.
